Health and wellbeing are shaped by more than thoughts and emotions alone. Sleep, stress, nervous system functioning, nutrition, relationships, habits, and lifestyle patterns all interact with mental health in complex and often subtle ways. When these systems become dysregulated or imbalanced, individuals may experience anxiety, low mood, emotional overwhelm, fatigue, or a sense of disconnection from themselves and others.
I offer integrative health, wellness and lifestyle counselling in Perth, supporting individuals to explore the relationship between psychological experiences and physiological processes in a compassionate and non-judgemental way. Sessions are available in-person at the Mount Lawley Counselling Centre and online across Australia.
An Integrative Approach to Mental Health

My approach recognises the mind and body as deeply interconnected. Rather than focusing on symptoms in isolation, therapy explores how emotional experiences, stress responses, sleep patterns, nutrition, and daily routines influence mental health and overall wellbeing.

Sleep is closely linked to emotional wellbeing and nervous system regulation. In counselling, we explore sleep patterns, routines, and factors that may be disrupting rest, such as stress and anxiety.
Together, we develop realistic sleep rhythms and practices that align with your lifestyle and support more restorative, sustainable sleep.
Sleep Hygeine

In counselling, we explore eating habits with curiosity and compassion, recognising that patterns around food are often shaped by stress, emotions, and life experiences.Where helpful, we gently consider how nutrition may influence mood, energy, and mental health, with a focus on developing a more supportive and sustainable relationship with food rather than rigid rules or ideals.
Nutrition

Many psychological difficulties are connected to chronic stress and nervous system dysregulation. Experiences such as trauma, prolonged stress, or relational insecurity can leave the body in states of hyperarousal, shutdown, or emotional overwhelm.
Through trauma-informed and relational counselling, I support clients to develop greater awareness of their nervous system responses and cultivate practices that foster regulation, safety, and emotional resilience. Therapy is not about forcing change, but about creating conditions where the body and mind can gradually return to balance.
Nervous System Regulation

Lifestyle patterns often reflect deeper emotional and relational themes. Overworking, perfectionism, withdrawal, people-pleasing, or difficulty resting can be expressions of underlying attachment wounds, beliefs, or unmet needs.
In therapy, we explore these patterns with curiosity rather than judgement, supporting you to develop more sustainable ways of relating to yourself, others, and your environment. This process can support shifts in identity, boundaries, and self-compassion, alongside improvements in mental health and wellbeing.
